The Abyssal Enforcer is a magnificent dagger with an ornate ebony and gold handle, intricately detailed with sinister runes and obsidian gemstones. The blade, crafted from a shadowy, otherworldly substance, glistens with an ominous aura.

Magical Effect: When the Abyssal Enforcer strikes a living being, a powerful enchantment is unleashed. The target must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 19) or be subjected to the dagger's magic. If the saving throw fails, the following effects occur:

Endless Stasis: The creature enters a death-like stasis, becoming completely immobile and unaware of their surroundings. stasis lasts until the dagger is removed using 1 action from the player that used the dagger initially.

Reduced Damage: While in stasis, the creature is partially immune to all forms of damage, status effects, and magical effects. suffering 1/2 the normal damage they would take from any attack made against them. They remain unaged and require no sustenance.

Added Damage: When the Abyssal Enforcer is used against denizens of the Underdark, it inflicts an additional 2d6 necrotic damage. this effect continues each turn that the creature is under the stasis effect.

Corrupting Malice: Frequent use of the Abyssal Enforcer comes at a cost. Each time it is used to subject a creature to stasis, the wielder must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 14). On a failed save, the wielder becomes tainted by the dagger's malevolent magic:

Corruption: The wielder's alignment shifts one step toward chaotic evil, and their aura becomes darker and more sinister. This alignment change can affect the character's behavior and may lead to conflicts with the party.

Taint: The wielder suffers a cumulative -1 penalty to Wisdom saving throws for each failed save. This penalty can only be removed through a powerful purification ritual.
