Weapon (pistol, automatic), rare

This gun takes the form of a golden revolver with each of the four card suits engraved on either side of the barrel.

when used, the gun converts bullets into one of the four card suits, each having their own effect. 1d4 is rolled to see which of the four it will be.

1-hearts, which heal the user by the amount of damage (2d8) dealt to the enemy.

2-diamonds, which explode violently in a 5 foot radius, dealing 1d10 force damage to every creature within that radius, and on a direct hit to an enemy that number is doubled.

3-spades, which pierce through 2 enemies at high velocity, dealing 1d10 piercing damage and 1d6 force damage.

4-clubs, which split off into 3 homing shots that each deal 1d6 bludgeoning damage.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

Notes: Range, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload
