This suit of armor is reinforced with Chardalyn, a dark and corrupt metal. While you're wearing it, spell attacks have disadvantage on you and you have advantage on saving throws against spells. Any spell cast against you will give the armor 1 charge per spell level. Once the Armor gains 10 charges it explodes, shattering and dealing 10d4+5 force damage to the wearer and anyone within a 30ft radius. You can use an action to expend the charges early, dealing (1d4 per charge)+5 to the wearer and in a 30ft line in front of the wearer. A long rest can expel all charges.
You can resummon the armor from a gauntlet of chardalyn after it explodes after a long rest.
Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.
While you're wearing it, any critical hit against you becomes a normal hit.
