This arrow does an additional 1d4 piercing damage to any other damage it would otherwise deal. Also, when it hits a target, two more arrows fire out, each targeting one creature of your choice. These additional arrows have all the properties of a mundane arrow as if fired from the bow this arrow was fired from, except are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance.
If you have 4 Arrows of the Elements, this arrow gains +1 to hit, its extra damage becomes 1d6, it fires 3 arrows upon hitting a target, and those arrows also gain the to hit and damage bonuses that this arrow has.
If you have 8 Arrows of the Elements, this arrow gains +2 to hit, its extra damage becomes 2d6, and it fires 5 arrows upon hitting a target.
If you have 12 Arrows of the Elements, this arrow gains +3 to hit, its extra damage becomes 3d6, and each arrow it creates fires off 3 pieces of metal shrapnel which have all the properties of a mundane arrow as if fired from the bow this arrow was fired from, except are considered magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and deal an extra 2d4 piercing damage.
