The Artificer's Motor is a basic example of a magical machine.
When an copper Alchemy Jug, filled with 12 gallons of salt water is set on top of a Heat Cube, not only does the water begin to heat but, it also produces steam. Steam is a Natural Force power. When the lid is put on the Alchemy Jug, pressure begins to show as the lid begins to dance. The lid dances more and more the hotter the cube becomes suggesting a greater Natural Force power.
The Artificer saw this and figured out how to harness this type of Natural Force. This steam-powered engine, built usually from a copper Alchemy Jug, a heat cube, and fused with a sealed lid to direct the force of the steam, is just the first of many mechanisms.
WARNING if the Natural Force power of the steam becomes too great for the components of either the motor or the components of whatever ot is attached to, seals may blow causing damage and injury. Within 5 feet Dex 16 save, Fail: 3d6 Force and 3d6 Steam (Fire) Damage, 1/2 on Success
