Weapon (longsword), very rare (requires attunement by a Bard)

A singing sword is a special blade, made of silver, that sang constantly, and loudly, when drawn. They were specifically crafted for members of the Harpers. The song of the singing sword increased the morale of wielder and allies, increasing their capabilities in combat, protecting them from mind-altering effects and even counter the effects of a Harpy's song. If a singing sword ends up in the hands of someone who is not a Harper, they will attempt to retrieve it at the earliest opportunity. A singing sword can only sing one of the three songs at a time but it will continue to sing until it's sheathed or the song is changed by the wielder. Beginning one song ends another. Any of the songs can be activated again once they have ended by expending a Bardic Inspiration die. Some singing swords are said to hold the souls of very powerful Bards that can be awakened by a Bard with a truly special connection to music.
