This leather quiver is wrapped in fine silks and gold torcs that belonged to the legendary efreeti Aatahlu who was known for his spiteful and vicious nature.
Dormant
While Aatahlu’s Burning Malice is in a dormant state, the quiver enchants the ammunition it holds. A target is hit by a ranged weapon attack using a piece of ammunition drawn from this quiver takes an extra 1d8 fire damage.
Additionally, as an action on your turn or as a reaction when you are the target of a spell or ability, you can cast investiture of flame. When cast this way, it does not require concentration and only lasts 1 minute. The spell save DC for this spell is 15. This property cannot be used again until you finish a long rest.
Awakened
When Aatahlu’s Burning Malice reaches an awakened state, you gain the all the benefits of the dormant state and the following benefits::
- The extra fire damage dealt by the ammunition increases to 2d8.
- When you hit with an attack, you may choose to change the damage of the attack to fire damage.
- Fueled by fire, you can use your action to let lose 10 consecutive shots into the air casting fire storm with a spell save DC of 15. This property cannot be used again until you finish a long rest.
Exalted
When Aatahlu’s Burning Malice reaches an exalted state, you gain the all the benefits of the dormant and awakened state and the following benefits:
- The extra fire damage dealt by the ammunition increases to 3d8.
- You may use the investiture of flame twice between long rests. The spell save DC is increased to 17.
- You may use the fire storm twice between long rests. The spell save DC is increased to 17
