Weapon (greataxe), rare

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

  1. Silent Strike: When you successfully hit a target with this weapon, all other creatures within a 20-foot radius must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 16) or be unable to speak or cast spells with verbal components until the end of your next turn.

  2. Echoing Roar: Once per long rest, you can use your action to slam the axe onto the ground, emitting a resounding roar that echoes in the surroundings. Creatures within a 30-foot radius must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 18) or be stunned until the end of your next turn.

  3. Sound Absorption: While attuned to this weapon, you have advantage on stealth checks.

  4. Chorus of Silence: If you score a critical hit, the axe absorbs all ambient sound within a 50-foot radius, creating a zone of magical silence (as per the Silence spell) that lasts until the start of your next turn.

Proficiency with a Greataxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.
