Weapon (spear), varies (requires attunement)

Areria is a weapon created by the Wyld elves when they still held lands on the continent in ages past. It has been wielded by great heroes and villains through the ages until it was locked in a dryad grove by its last owner. Known as the Ashen Gryphon it has the ability to return to its owner's hand at request.
The haft is made of simple, sturdy ash, flexible and strong. The head is beautifully made with dark hardened edges leading to an almost glowing centre. Elvish knotwork has been painstakingly etched into the metal and an engraving has been carved into the wood reading; "She who knows my name may wield me once again."

Areria grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it and has a reach of 20ft.

Versatile. This weapon can be used with one or two hands. A damage value in parentheses appears with the property — the damage when the weapon is used with two hands to make a melee attack.

Thrown. You can throw the weapon to make a ranged attack with a range of 60ft.

Return. The weapon can be summoned to the wielder’s hand as long as it is within line of site. This can also be used immediately after it has been used to make a ranged attack.

Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
