Wondrous Item, very rare
Celestial shards are said by some to be mined from Mount Celestia itself, by others to be pieces of the gods’ power made manifest, and by others still to be both or neither. The craftsperson or persons responsible for their existence are equally enigmatic. Regardless, each celestial shard bears the same inscription: “Whosoever breaketh this shard shall be wreathed in celestial might.”
Upon breaking this shard, for the ext one minute you gain the following benefits:
- You shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.
- You and everything you are wearing or carrying are naturally insulated against cold climates, as described in chapter 5 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide.
- You are immune to the frightened condition.
- Your AC and saving throws each increase by 2.
- You gain 1d6 + 4 temporary hit points at the start of each of your turns.
- Your weapon attacks deal an additional 1d4 radiant damage.
