Made with the same kind of magic as the Amorphous Ironwood Rod, the one of a kind Amorphous Ironwood Bracer is the pinnacle of that concept, imbued with magic that has been lost to time. In its dormant state, it is an extremely dense and durable dark wood bracer that fits around its bearers main hand. It radiates potent magic to anyone with the skill to see it. While attuned to it, its wielder can sense intent radiating along with that magic. They become aware of the bracer's appreciation of the natural world and feel compelled to defend nature to the best of their ability.
If the bracer is ever destroyed, it will regrow itself from the wood of any one tree or wooden structure within 30 miles of the site of its destruction, turning its new source wood into steel-strong ironwood, taking the form of a rough ironwood branch until such time that it has fully reformed. It takes 1d4 +3 days to regrow, and once it does, it falls to the ground and waits to be discovered by one who can use it to fight in the name of appreciation for the natural world. During this time, its most recent wielder can perform an 8 hour ritual to compel it to instead regrow at a site of their choice instead. In this case, it will regrow in one additional day.
When you attune to the bracer, it magically grows and shapes itself to your arm. It is comfortable, often feeling as if you aren't wearing it at all. When you roll initiative, or at any time as an action, the bracer sprouts tendrils which reach past your hand and weave into the form of one simple or martial weapon of your choice that you are proficient with, except for anything so large that it must be wielded with both hands. It functions exactly as a weapon of that type, even its durability is identical, except that it is still made of wood, and still has the appearance of wood, despite it, and the bracer, not being flammable. It remains connected to the bracer via strong but flexible tendrils that do not hinder your movements, but prevent you from being disarmed.
As an action, you can compel the weapon to assume the shape of one other appropriate weapon instead, or to return to its original shape. While attuned, etchings of symbols and patterns important to the wielder adorn the surface regardless of the item's form, and can be made to glow faintly with green light at any time. You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this item, and you gain a bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your druid and ranger spells that use this item as a focus.
The weapons created from this item are considered magical, and, being wood, it can serve as a magical focus for druid and ranger spells regardless of its form. You can speak the item's command word to cause the light shining from the etchings on the item to grow brighter, causing the item, regardless of its form, to shed bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. Speaking the command word again puts out the light.
When you hit with a weapon created by the bracer, the weapon deals an extra 3d6 damage of a type that you can otherwise deal with one of your druid or ranger spells or abilities. Additionally, when you attack with any weapon created by the bracer, if you roll a 20, you gain the effect of the extra attack feature for the duration of that action.
The bracer is not exactly sentient, but it does have a personality and a mind of its own. Its bond with you allows you to interact with that personality, which has the intellect and awareness of an average, non-unique beast. It can also extend that connection to other nearby plants and animals, allowing you to cast speak with animals and speak with plants at will. The bracer's senses also bolster your own, granting you an advantage on initiative rolls.
The bracer can also grant you other magical abilities, each of which can be performed as an action. For one minute, the bracer can merge into your skin, transforming it in a way that visually resembles barkskin, granting you resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for one minute, or until you use an action to return the bracer to its natural form. You can also impel the bracer to cast transport via plants for you, with you as the source, or to cast the single action form of plant growth upon all plants within the area of bright light cast by the bracer. It can do each of these things once per long rest.
Notes: Bonus: Spell Attacks, Bonus: Spell Save DC, Damage: Fire, Advantage: Initiative, Druid or Ranger, Utility
