This hooded lantern appears to be shaped from a fallen tree branch, its frame seemingly molded without the use of tools, and where glass panels might normally be instead paper thin blanched leaves adorn the lantern. The light of the lantern is not from fuel burning, but instead from an enchanted pine cone that rests in the middle of it, activated by whispering the words "may your eternal rest grant me sight in the eternal light." The light remains active until extinguished by whispering "eternal thanks" into the lantern.
When lit, the lantern gives off a pale white light, almost like moonlight, that counts as bright light for 20 feet and dim light for an additional 20 feet. This light cannot be diminished by magical darkness and suppresses any magical darkness of 5th level or lower within 20 feet of it.
