The Astral Whisper is a finely crafted Light Crossbow with a sleek and elegant design. It has a matte black finish with silver accents, reminiscent of the night sky's stars. The crossbow's stock is adorned with intricate engravings of the moon's phases, and its trigger guard features the crescent of Selune.
- Dark Precision: The Astral Whisper is imbued with celestial precision. When attuned to it, you gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls with the crossbow during nighttime or under the moonlight.
- Ethereal Starbolts: This crossbow no longer uses physical ammunition - instead it fires bolts of radiant energy, each of which does 1d8 damage.
- Silent Guiding Moonbeam: The crossbow's bolts leave a radiant trail in their wake, but it is silent and invisible to all except the wielder. When you fire a bolt, the path it follows is illuminated with a soft, moonlit glow, providing a discreet means of tracking your target in the dark without revealing your position.
- Nightcloak: Once per long rest, you can invoke Selune's blessing using the crossbow. When you do so, your next attack with the Astral Whisper gains a +2 bonus to both attack and damage rolls, in addition to dealing an extra 2d6 radiant damage.
Proficiency with a Light Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
