Arrow of Lesser Lightning

Yellow runes etched into the head of this arrow imbue it with minor lightning magic.

This arrow can be fired from a bow as an attack. The arrow can be ricocheted off creatures, objects, and surfaces it hits twice before losing its potency, making additional attack rolls for each target, on a failed attack roll the arrow ricochets wildly, up to DM discretion.

When the arrow hits a creature that creature must make a DC 12 Dexterity save on a failed save the target takes an additional 2d4 magical lightning damage, and half as much damage on a successful one.

Once used in this way the runes disappear and it becomes a nonmagical arrow.
