The Rage Implant is a marvel of arcane engineering, created to harness and amplify a barbarian's natural rage. When activated, the device enhances the user's physical prowess at the risk of personal strain.
Features:
-
Rage Enhancement: Once per long rest, while raging, the wearer can activate the implant as a bonus action. For the duration of the rage, the wearer gains one of the following benefits:
- Additional damage on the first successful attack each turn, the amount equal to their proficiency bonus.
- Resistance to one type of damage (chosen when the implant is activated) that they are not already resistant to.
- An increase to speed by 10 feet.
-
Post-Rage Fatigue: After the rage ends, the wearer suffers one level of exhaustion that cannot be removed until they finish a long rest. This simulates the physical toll the implant takes on the body.
-
Overclock: Once per long rest, the wearer can choose to overclock the implant when activating their rage. This doubles the enhancement benefit (e.g., additional damage or speed) but causes the wearer to suffer two levels of exhaustion instead of one after the rage ends.
