Acquitaine Flash Stone

This smooth, rounded stone fits comfortably in the hand.  A carved notch indicates which end to point at your enemy.

While holding it, you can use an action or bonus action to activate the stone and roll any die:  on an odd roll, the stone does not activate and is useless; on an even roll, a crackling dart of magical force erupts from the end with the carved notch and strikes a creature of your choice that you can see within 120ft, dealing 1d4 + 1 force damage to its target.  In either case, the stone then becomes nonmagical.
