Weapon (halberd), unknown rarity

You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

A incongruous halberd forged of unknown material with bone-like qualities. On the spear point, tiny fractures fester and the discolored tip seemingly writhes with a rhythmic pulsation akin to a heartbeat. He draws your attention, tries to speak. Yet words fail his nonexistent mouth - is this truly a weapon, a halberd - or something else entirely?

Atrocity. Areadbhar has a number of charges equal to your proficiency bonus and they are reset during a long rest. Before an attack roll is made with this weapon, you can spend one charge and allow a wave of hatred to wash over you, causing the weapon to glow with an orange luster. If the following attack hits, it is a guaranteed critical strike as the sight of Areadbhar plunged into his foe can only be described as an atrocity.

Proficiency with a Halberd allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Cleave. If you hit a creature with a melee attack roll using this weapon, you can make a melee attack roll with the weapon against a second creature within 5 feet of the first that is also within your reach. On a hit, the second creature takes the weapon’s damage, but don’t add your ability modifier to that damage unless that modifier is negative. You can make this extra attack only once per turn.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Requires attunement, Damage, Combat, Heavy, Reach, Two-Handed, Cleave
