Weapon (greatsword), artifact (requires attunement by a anyone)

The physical culmination of you journey, enormous shears whose blades swirl with stars and nebulae with handles made of strange otherworldly metals, capable of rending space and enemies apart

Random Properties. The Ark of the Cosmos has the following random properties

  • 1 minor beneficial property
  • 1 major beneficial property
  • 1 major detrimental property

Enormous. The Ark's damage die are 2d8.

Fated to Perish. While attuned the Ark of the Cosmos reduces the score needed to score a critical hit by 3. When scoring a critical strike all damage dealt is increased to a D12 and a limb is removed from the target.

Unstable. The Ark's chaotic energies often cause great misfortune for the user while attuned, while attuned to the shears when an enemy makes an attack roll they critically hit on a 15 or above.

Violate Causality. While attuned to the Ark whenever you receive a critical hit you can use your reaction to reverse the blow and make an attack of your own, the attacker still rolls damage and then loses that amount of hit points.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.

Notes: anyone, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
