The Amulet of Kelemvor provides protection and a symbol of the Order for those devoted to Father Death.
The Amulet is enchanted with a spell. In order for the spell to be active, the Amulet must be prayed over before using one of the following attributes. If the Amulet has not been prayed over, the spell is not active. You may use an action to pray over the Amulet if you have not done so already.
Protection From Undeath
If the Amulet's spell is active, the wearer of the Amulet cannot be turned into an Undead by any means. If the owner dies, their soul will be immediately swept away to the Well of Souls to serve Kelemvor, and cannot be brought back by any means.
Soul Snare
Once per day, if the Amulet's spell is active, you may unleash the power of the Amulet, and invoke Kelemvor against Undead. Using an action, you may will a number of Undead equal to your Paladin level to pass into Kelemvor's Well of Souls. Each of the selected Undead must make a DC (10 + your CHA modifier) Charisma saving throw, or else their souls will leave their body to be returned to the Well, effectively killing them. When this ability is used, the spell in the Amulet fades. The Amulet can be prayed over again the next day to reactivate the spell.
Notes: recitation of an Oath in service to Kelemvor and prayer over the Amulet.
