Akalon appears as a gleaming green orichalchium blade with a two spinning metal rings, surrounding a bright white light in the pommel.

You gain +5 bonus to attack rolls and damage with this weapon. It deals an extra and 4d6 radiant damage to creature's of the dragon type.

Redirect Energy. While wielding Akalon you can expend a charge to attempt to redirect incoming elemental damage as a reaction (fire, cold, acid, lightning, or poison). Make a Dexterity Save DC (1/3th of the total damage), on a failure the damage is done to you as normal. On a success you can redirect the damage to any target within 30 feet as force damage instead of the incoming damage type.

Akalon has a maximum of 3 charges and regains 1 charge each morning.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
