You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. The head of the mace is shaped like a sunburst and made of solid brass. In the pommel there is a large gemstone, that is either a golden amber color or a dark ebony.
This +1 mace was made for a cleric of Irathy, the god of eternal light and dark. The mace radiates the power of the goddess granting serenity to her followers and unease to her enemies. It has two aspects, that of the Day and that of the Night. In Day aspect the weapon is a bright and polished metal that glimmers in any source of light. In Night aspect it appears to be encased in a sheath of blackness and absorb light that falls upon it. As a thought, the wielder of this weapon can shift it from Daylight to Night or back, causing the gem in the pommel to rotate changing color as it turns 180 degrees. This can be done any number of times.
As an action, the wielder may cast the following spells, consuming charges:
Day Aspect : Daylight (2), Bless (1)
Night Aspect : Darkness (2), Bane (1)
On command, this weapon (Day Aspect) glows as bright as a torch, or (Night Aspect) can extinguish non-magical light sources within 20 feet. While glowing, the mace deals an extra 1d6 radiant damage to fiend creatures. While shrouded, the mace deals an extra 1d6 necrotic damage to goblinoids.
Proficiency with a Morningstar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
