This +1 mace is forged from the remnants of the Aethersmith's Crucible, its surface a patchwork of different metals, etched with faintly glowing arcane runes. When held, it vibrates softly, resonating with latent magical energies.
Elemental Absorption: Once per long rest, as an action, the wielder can touch the Mace of Elemental Resonance to a source of elemental energy (fire, cold, acid, lightning, or thunder). The mace absorbs this element, and for the next 24 hours, it deals an extra 1d6 damage of the absorbed type on a hit with this weapon. This effect remains until a new element is absorbed after a long rest.
Elemental Sling: As an action, the wielder can make a ranged spell attack with the mace, flinging a burst of the absorbed elemental energy at a target within 30 feet. The attack has a +1 bonus to hit and deals 1d8 + 1 damage of the absorbed element.
Proficiency with a Mace allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
