The Amulet features a small, intricately designed heart-shaped pendant, made of a radiant gold that seems to pulse with a gentle, warm light. It hangs from a sturdy chain that glows faintly, and the amulet feels comforting and soothing to the touch, resonating with a sense of tranquility and life. This amulet was forged in the ancient, rune-carved halls of the Northerland temples dedicated to Wotan, the all-seeing deity of wisdom and war. Crafted by the revered cleric-warrior, Hilda the Hearthkeeper, it was imbued with Wotan’s wisdom and a warrior's spirit. The amulet was first worn in battle against the ice trolls of the Trollheim Mountains, where it proved its might by saving Hilda's life and many of her brethren. It's said that the amulet's wearer can occasionally hear the deep, resonant whispers of Wotan, guiding them towards protection and preservation of life in the harshest of battles.
Abilities:
- Blessing of Vitality: Once per day, the cleric can activate the Amulet to enhance their healing spells. For 1 minute, any spell they cast that restores hit points heals an additional 2 hit points per spell level.
- Guardian's Resilience: When the cleric is reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, the Amulet can be used to automatically stabilize them without needing to make death saving throws. This feature can be used once, recharging after a long rest.
- Aura of Life: As an action, once per long rest, the cleric can activate the Amulet to create a 10-foot radius aura around them for 1 minute. Allies within the aura gain resistance to necrotic damage and cannot have their hit points reduced below 1.
Restrictions:
- The additional healing from Blessing of Vitality does not apply to spells that heal over time, such as "Healing Spirit".
