Weapon (longsword), rare (requires attunement)

This deadly magical +2 longsword contains the ability to strike with corrosive acid. A creature wielding and attuned to this weapon gains the following benefits:

  • Your successful attacks with this weapon deal an additional 2d6 points of Acid damage.
  • When you critically hit a creature with this weapon, its acid corrodes their defenses. If the creature was wearing armor, it receives a -1 penalty to its armors AC. If this penalty reduces the armor's AC to 10, the armor is destroyed. If the creature was not wearing armor or has natural armor, the additional Acid damage from this weapon instead changes to d8's rather than d6's for the Critical Hit.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
