Forged from the celestial essence of Aquila and imbued with the profound depths of the ocean, Oceans Tide is a staff of unparalleled power. It appears as an elegant quarterstaff, with a design that seamlessly blends celestial symbols and oceanic motifs, highlighted by gemstones that seem to contain the very essence of the sea.
Celestial Vestige. Grants a +3 bonus to attack, spell attack, and damage rolls.
Aquatic Affinity (Passive). While holding this staff, you can breathe underwater and automatically charm aquatic creatures with an Intelligence score of 2 or lower within 120 feet. You can now walk on water and gain a swim speed double your movement speed.
Current Control (Passive). Subtly control water currents within 500 feet to redirect ships, push away threats, or calm turbulent waters.
The Ocean Is Mine (1/day). Select up to 8 allies to breathe underwater and gain a swim speed triple their movement speed for 24 hours.
Watery Shield (2/Short). When struck in battle, invoke the staff's power to increase AC by 5 for that round. If still hit, the damage taken is reduced by half.
Planar Pull (1/Long Rest). Pull a creature into the water plane for a round, requiring them to make a Strength Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC. Upon return, they must make a Wisdom Saving Throw or suffer the effects of the Confusion Spell.
Aquila’s Voice. Cast Tidal Wave (3rd level), Control Water (4th level), Watery Sphere (4th level), Control Weather (8th level) and Tsunami (8th level) once per day without expending a spell slot.
Aquila’s Blessing (Weekly Exalted Action). Raise the staff to summon a purifying rain in a 60-foot radius for 1 minute. Allies are cleansed of Blinded, Deafened, Poisoned, and Stunned conditions and receive temporary hit points equal to the wielder's level + their Charisma modifier. Enemies must make a Wisdom saving throw or have disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks for the duration of the rain. They may reattempt this save every turn.
