This item is not an item at all. It is a living, breathing ant colony. This colony, if you can wield it, will serve you and be any item you want.
Notes: This item is not an item. It is an ant colony. If you would like to use the colony you need to have an intelligence and wisdom of 14 or higher. If your intelligence or wisdom is too low roll a (D20+WIS mod+INT mod), on a 14 or higher you can use the colony but you will have to re-roll the same check every time you try to change its form [this doesn't stack with the default (D20+Wis mod+INT mod) it just takes the place of the roll. if it succeeds it has the same effect that a successful roll has by default] if you roll a 13 on less on your original check, take (1D4+your level) piercing damage. If you get 13 or less on the re-roll check to change its form you take (1D4+your level) piercing damage and you have to take the same check again to see if you can keep the colony, if you get a 13 or less you lose the colony. If you level up to level 20 with the colony in your inventory you no longer have to roll any checks to see if it works. If you roll a critical success on your first roll you never have to worry about rolling to keep the colony. any critical failure on your rolls you take (1D20) piercing damage. On your turn you can use an action to have the colony can take the form of any item your character has seen or studied. If you've just seen the item you need to study it to get the proficiency bonus on all of its rolls, unless you are already proficient in the item you are copying. They cannot copy other magical items until 14 Evo charges and they cannot copy projectile based weapons until 4 Evo Charges. Until level 20 you roll (D20+WIS mod+INT mod) to see if the colony listens to you and turns into what you want it to. 10 and up they listen, 9 and down they don't and stay whatever form it was before, if they weren't taking a form before the failed roll nothing happens. On a critical success, everything you do with the colony is also a critical success until you change its form again or until 4 of your turns pass. On a critical failure you take 1D4 piercing damage. If 4 of your turns pass they go back to their default form of the ants being individual ants with no abilities except the one where they can change form. The copied items have the exact same stats and abilities as the original items. In the case of monks, when you see them using their bonus action to use their unarmed strike again you can have the ants turn into gauntlets and you have a copy of the monk's unarmed strike and you can use a bonus action to make another attack with the gauntlets 2 Evo Charges, nothing 4 Evo Charges, can use projectile based weapons.
