Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)

Charges. The monocular has 6 charges which may be used to activate features as described below. The loupe regains 1d4 + 2 expended charges daily at dawn.

Comprehend Languages. Expending one charge, you may use the Arcane Loupe to cast a modified version of the comprehend languages spell. While looking through the lens of the monocular, you may read any written language you can see within your sight-based senses range(s) for ten minutes which is visible through the loupe.

Detect Magic. Expending one charge, you may use the Arcane Loupe to cast a modified version of the Detect Magic spell. While looking through the lens of he monocular, you can sense the presence of magic within your sight-based senses range(s) for 5 minutes which is visible through the loupe.

Identify. Expending two charges, you may use the Arcane Loupe to cast a modified version of the Identify spell. While looking at an item within 5 ft of you through the lens of the monocular, you can learn the magical properties of that item, if any, as though casting the Identify spell. When casting the spell in this way, you cannot use it to learn what spells are affecting a creature.
When cast in this way, each additional casting of the Identify within one minute of the completion of your last casting only expends one charge. After one minute, the cost is two charges again.

See Invisibility. Expending three charges, you may use the Arcane Loupe to cast a modified version of the spell See Invisibility spell. While looking through the lens of the monocular, you can see any invisible creatures or objects as if they were visible within your normal sight-based senses range(s) for 30 minutes which are visible through the loupe.

Scrying. Expending six charges, you may use the Arcane Loupe to cast the Scrying. While looking through the lens of the monocular, you can see and hear through the invisible sensor created by the spell for up to ten minutes. Pulling the Arcane Loupe from your eye does not end the spell effect. The targeted creature must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving through to resist being scryed upon.

This small monocular, akin to a jeweler's eyepiece (or loupe) has a platinum housing with a red tinted lens on the front and a semi-opaque, pearlescent lens on the viewing port.  Arcane runes are inscribed around the rim of each lens.
