This breastplate is a piece of armour that seems to have a story etched into every intricate leaf pattern adorning its surface. In the centre of the chest is a crystal chalice, ancient and mysterious, encircled by delicately crafted leaves.
This breastplate once belonged to a great warrior of old, a guardian of the Margeve Forest who defended it against countless threats. Its intricate leaf patterns symbolise the harmony and balance of our realm, while the crystal chalice at its heart represents the life force that flows through the forest.
As a reaction you can use one charge and summon vines from within the armour which are able to absorb some of the impact from blunt attacks, giving you resistance to bludgeoning damage until the end of your next turn. Whilst this effect is active, you become vulnerable to fire damage. When you first take fire damage, the leaves wither ending the effect.
You can use 2 charges to cast speak with animals. The armour holds your proficiency number of charges and regains them at dawn.
This armor consists of a fitted metal chest piece worn with supple leather. Although it leaves the legs and arms relatively unprotected, this armor provides good protection for the wearer's vital organs while leaving the wearer relatively unencumbered.
Notes: Number of charges is based on proficiency bonus
