The Pocket Watch Of Chronology is a very powerful artifact that bends time around it. In some worlds and timelines this may not even be in existence yet for it was made in temporal prime the plane of time. It’s bronze clockwork calls to many mechanics and tinkerers who have tried to recreate it but failed for they have only heard about the myth that surrounds the legendary clock many think it doesn't exist but the people that have a had a encounter with a cronomancer tell a different tale they say that they inquire about this ancient relic and when they don't get it they use magic to erase the mind of there visit. In the ancient days some have said that they’ve seen a cronomancer wielding one to cast a spell then have it repeat and repeat again laying armies to waste. Five have been created, three to the elders in temporal prime and two have mysteriously disappeared. This is one of the things that the modrones search for, for the it brings to mankind. When two different Pocket Watches Of Chronology are within 20 feet a rift appears in time that is 15 by 30 feet that brings forth creatures from time and from the stream of time, huge amounts of energy and magic crash into the planes that can have deadly consequences. But when you're traveling through time and a Pocket Watch Of Chronology comes within 1000 feet of the same one but from the past a time lock is formed. A time lock caused by a Pocket Watch Of Chronology causes in a 1000 foot radius repeats every 1d4 turns if something enters it’s radius that wasn’t there before take 1d4 points of exhaustion per turn age 1d4 x10 years and gets a permanent -1 dex and strength per turn this lasts until the artifacts are separated. When you attune to The Pocket Watch Of Chronology you gain the following benefits:
- You cannot be located or tracked by magical means when you are attuned to this artifact.
- You cannot age magically when you are holding this artifact [that includes when casting the wish spell].
- Time to you seems to move slower than it actually does so you have a permanent extra reaction and +2 ac bonus.
- Time moves fast for your injuries giving you regeneration you heal one quarter of you hit die + your constitution score every turn.
- The Pocket Watch Of Chronology has 1d4 charges; you can cast the spell slow or haste as a legendary action for one charge. For 2 charges you can recast one spell in the last 5 turns that you made there is no material cost or components needed. If you hit zero charges you can be tracked magically and there are a lot of things tracking this artifact [maruts and modrones to restore order in the time flow by returning this to its natural place, cronomancers to get there item back, and demon lords and the gods for the power it possesses].
When The Pocket Watch Of Chronology is touching you and you're not using an ability[using a charge, being regenerated or without resisting magical age] for 6 rounds you take 1d4 points of exhaustion and 1d4 years. Since there are five Pocket Watches Of Chronology and three are well maintained the other two have minor flaws DO NOT TELL THE PLAYERS THAT THEY HAVE FLAWS flaw one when they use one charge to cast slow or haste roll a d4 and if and if you get a one it casts the opposite spell. Flaw two they can’t cast a concentration spell that's not a buff or debuff spell.
Notes: The Pocket Watch Of Chronology is a very powerful artifact that even to attempt to attune you need a 20 wisdom and need to roll a 20 dc wisdom roll you only get one attempt to do this.
