Arrow of Mage Slaying

An Arrow of Mage Slaying is a magical piece of +1 ammunition created to pierce through all protective enchantments a mage might weave around themselves to ward against attacks like mage armor, shield and the likes.

When you roll to hit a creature using this arrow in an attack ignore all bonuses to their Armor Class from spells.

Once an arrow of Mage Slaying deals its extra damage to a creature, it becomes a nonmagical arrow.

Other types of magic ammunition of this kind exist, such as bolts of mage slaying meant for a crossbow, though arrows are most common.
