Weapon (crossbow, heavy), very rare (requires attunement)

When you speak a command word as a bonus action, this magical +1 heavy crossbow changes its form to an old, unassuming walking cane which can be used as a regular club. Divination spells such as detect magic or identify do not reveal it as a magical weapon in this state.

In its true form as a finely crafted mahagoni crossbow a small compartment on the bottom of the front handle allows you to store a vial with up to 3 doses of a posion. When a small lever next to the trigger is moved, the bolt laid ready is dipped in the poison from the vial. Thus, applying poison to a piece of ammunition from the stored vial is considered a free action. It takes a bonus action to change an empty vial for a new one.

The filigran craftsmanship and inherent magic make this heavy crossbow much easier to handle, allowing you to ignore the heavy property. If you have proficiency with any kind of crossbow you are proficient in the use of this weapon.

Proficiency with a Heavy Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
