Weapon (greatsword), very rare (requires attunement)

This two-handed sword, crafted from the jaw bone of a solar dragon, contains within its hilt a jagged ring, at the center of which lies a miniature glowing dwarf star that rotates slowly, stationary within its confines. This star is in actuality the eye of the dragon the sword was made from.

You have a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

This sword weighs nothing to wear or carry, as though the astral bone still remembers its weightless home. It still obeys gravity and falls when not being held up.

Once per turn, when you take the Attack action, you can forego one of your attacks to flare the blade with solar fire from the star and flourish it, creating a wave of flame all around you. Each other creature within 15 feet of you must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 4d6 fire damage, or half as much on a successful save. Once you use this property three times, you can’t do so again until the next dawn.

Whenever you use the above property, there is a hidden 5 percent chance that the star will go supernova, instantly destroying the sword. When it does, each creature within 90 feet of the sword (including you) must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 10d6 fire damage and 10d6 radiant damage, is pushed 30 feet away, and is knocked prone on a failed save. A creature that succeeds on its save takes half as much damage, is only pushed 15 feet, and isn’t knocked prone.

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
