Weapon (battleaxe), rare

The Aceblade Battleaxe is a spirited weapon with a tennis-inspired enchantment, allowing its wielder to skillfully return magical attacks. When attuned to it, you gain the following benefits:

Spell Volley: The Aceblade Battleaxe has 3 charges. As a reaction when you are targeted by a spell attack, you can expend one charge to perform a Spell Volley. If the spell is 4th level or higher, you must make an Intelligence (Arcana) check with a DC of 10 + the spell's level. On a failed check, Spell Volley fails, and you are hit by the spell, and lose your reaction and the charge. On a success, make a melee spell attack roll using your Strength modifier against the caster's AC. If your attack roll is successful, the spell is deftly slammed back at the caster. The Aceblade Battleaxe regains expended charges at dawn. During a short rest, you can spend hit dice to recharge one of the axe's charges per hit die expended.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.

Notes: Bonus: Magic, Damage, Combat, Versatile, Topple
