When attuned by Barrett Hackenmueller, Arcane Bane grants him the feat "Mage Slayer".
Effect: While attuned to the Arcanecleaver, the wielder gains the Mage Slayer Feat (from the Player's Handbook). This includes:
- When a creature within 5 feet of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
- When you damage a creature that is concentrating on a spell, that creature has disadvantage on the saving throw it makes to maintain its concentration.
- You have advantage on saving throws against spells cast by creatures within 5 feet of you.
This weapon also counts as Cooking Utensils.
Proficiency with a Handaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
