This ornate suit of armor is adorned with intricate symbols of divine power. It resonates with the holy energy that paladins channel, but its true purpose is to amplify the healing prowess for the benefit of allies.
Features:
-
Aura of Healing Amplification: While wearing this armor, the paladin's healing spells and Lay on Hands feature gain a special aura that extends to a 10-foot radius around the wearer. Allies within this radius receive additional healing equal to the paladin's proficiency bonus.
-
Shared Lay on Hands: The wearer of the armor can use Lay on Hands not only on themselves but also on any willing ally within the aura. The amount healed is divided evenly among all chosen targets.
-
Divine Resonance: When the paladin successfully heals an ally, the armor absorbs a portion of the divine energy. Once per long rest, the wearer can release this stored energy in a burst, healing all allies within the aura for an amount equal to the total healing the paladin has done since their last long rest.
-
Sacrificial Bond: As an act of selflessness, the wearer of the armor can choose to transfer their own hit points to an injured ally within the aura. This ability can be used once per short rest, and the amount of hit points transferred is equal to the paladin's level.
-
Divine Safeguard: Once per encounter, when an ally within the aura drops to 0 hit points, the armor automatically activates a protective barrier, preventing the ally from falling unconscious. The ally instead remains conscious with 1 hit point.
This armor encourages the paladin to focus on supporting their allies, making sacrifices for the greater good. It adds a layer of strategic thinking and teamwork to the paladin's role within the party.
Made of interlocking metal rings, chain mail includes a layer of quilted fabric worn underneath the mail to prevent chafing and to cushion the impact of blows. The suit includes gauntlets.
