Gifted to you from the Akroan elite, this spear features an Akroan banner affixed to it below the blade.
When the banner is attached, the spear has a +1 to hit and +1 to damage. If the banner is not affixed to the it, the spear suffers a -1 to hit and -1 to damage.
The banner can be used as a cloak of protection, granting +1 to AC. To do this, a 1-hour ritual removal of the banner must be conducted (attunement). Similarly, reaffixing the banner to the spear takes the same amount of time.
If the spear is thrown with the banner affixed, the spear is thrown at disadvantage and grants no bonus to hit but retains the +1 to damage.
Proficiency with a Spear allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
