Rings like this were carried by Ashen Mountains royal family members. It's an ornate golden ring with a small spike under a sliding cover and red velvet pad on the opposite side. Royals used the spike to easily draw a drop of blood from their other hand to smear on Sanguine doors to open them. Magical velvet pad seals tiny wounds instantly after touching them.
