Weapon (rapier), rare (requires attunement)

Explorers of the Astral Sea speak tales of an old planet, Arda it was called. One where peace was found after countless years of conflict and a period of shadow engulfed the land. Yet it can no longer be found and all that remains of its existence is this blade of wood and stone. The runes on its hilt when deciphered say: “Telperion, my father, I shall continue to give my light as you did yours” Other blades of its like have been seen across the planes, yet they all reference to Telperion or Laurelin in their runes. Who or what they may be, has even been lost to the tales of the sailors themselves

You use a bonus action to awaken the weapon during which lightning will align with the blade. This weapon will remain awakened until you use another bonus action to command it to return to its slumber. Otherwise, it will return to its slumber after 1 minute. While awakened the weapon deals 2d6 additional lightning damage to any target it hits and whenever it hits a target, that target's figure is lined with light that shows to everyone in a 60-foot radius regardless of whether the target is invisible, in magical darkness, or heavily obscured. The target also loses the benefits of these effects. This lighting effect continues until the end of your next turn.

Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.

Notes: Damage: Lightning, Finesse, Vex
