Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a bard)

This golden fiddle is intricately decorated with inlaid swirling designs. The name “Johnny” is scratched into the neck. The fiddle radiates an infernal presence.

When you use the fiddle as a spellcasting focus for your bard spells, you gain a +2 bonus to your spell attack rolls and spell save DC.

Whenever you give a creature Bardic Inspiration while holding the fiddle, you can grant them an infernal vigor, increasing their walking speed by 10 feet and granting them 2d10 temporary hit points. These effects last until the temporary hit points given to the creature are gone or until the creature uses the Bardic Inspiration given to them.

As an action while holding the fiddle, you can begin a rousing performance. As you do, a troupe of devilish musicians appear around you spectrally and begin playing along. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you gains Bardic Inspiration as though you had given it to them (you expend no uses of Bardic Inspiration). Once you take this action, you cannot do so again until the next dawn.

Curse of Pride. The fiddle is cursed, which only legend lore reveals: once a creature becomes attuned to it, they become unwilling to part with it and are convinced that they are the best musician in the world. They are unable to be dissuaded of this idea. The attuned creature automatically fails Wisdom saving throws that appeal to their pride, and their Insight checks automatically fail.
