Wondrous Item, legendary (requires attunement by a monk)

Forged from the great dragon smiths of old and awakened by the flame of creation. A metal gauntlet held together by the very essence of fire and embellished by the visage of Emburia herself that makes up most of the gauntlets form. The knuckles of the gauntlets are engraved by the runes of Nylondis’ elements, strengthening its power.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. All melee weapon attacks made with the gauntlets deal an additional 1d4 fire damage per two runes engraved into the knuckles.

As an action, you can choose to ignite the gauntlets, choosing between the stances of Creation and Void when doing so. When ignited, the gauntlets gain an additional effect for each rune engraved within them. The choice of Creation and Void changes the effect given.

Creation of Patience: So long as the gauntlets are not ignited on the first turn in initiative, the wearer may take the attack action as a free action on the turn they are ignited.

Void of Patience: So long as the gauntlets are ignited as the first action the wearer takes in initiative and before any movement, they may take the attack action as a free action on that turn.

Creation of Life: When the wearer is below half its hit point maximum, they regain a number of hit points equal to their Proficiency bonus each time they successfully hit a target.

Void of Life: The wearer can choose to take unavoidable damage equal to their level to make additional attacks every time they take the attack action, taking damage for every additional attack made. The wearer cannot regain hit points by any means other than their own healing whilst Void stance is active.

When ignited, the gauntlets remain ignited for a minute. Every attack made with the gauntlets against a dragon, whether a hit or miss, refreshes the duration of the ignition.

When the wearer is reduced to 0 hit points and not killed outright, they must make a Wisdom saving throw against their Ki save DC. On a success, the gauntlets stay ignited. On a failure, they are extinguished.

The gauntlets can be extinguished as a bonus action at any time, ending the current state and preventing its additional benefits nullified.

Once extinguished, they can only be ignited again when a significant display of elemental mastery is shown.
