Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement by a creature of a non-good alignment)

Forged from the essence and the bones of those fallen to the immortal Tarek Reinhart, Marrowspike is a sinister longsword that protects it's user as much as it wounds its foes. Its blade, crafted from macabrly enhanced bone, resonates with dark energies. The crossguard is adorned with a menacing skull, its eyes aglow with a red light, supposedly belonging to the remnants of Bastiel, the first Aasimar to lose his life to the ancient vampire. This weapon seems to hum with a thirst for blood, its presence alone enough to chill the hearts of the bravest souls.

Magic Weapon (Passive). Marrowspike grants a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it.

Marrowgrowth Crossguard (Passive). On every successful hit with Marrowspike, a bone protrusion springs forth from the hilt, granting the wielder a +1 bonus to AC for 1 minute, stacking up to a maximum of +3. This boneguard provides a defensive bonus, but being struck by an attack removes one layer of this protection, reducing the AC bonus accordingly.

Vampiric Essence (1/Long Rest). Once per long rest, as a bonus action, the wielder can activate this ability to draw upon the lifeblood of the blade, gaining temporary hit points equal to 25% of their total hit points for 1 minute. Additionally, all healing received during this minute is increased by 25%.
