Antimagic Rod

Inlaid with grooves, this dark metallic rod is a vestige of a lost sect of cultists. A subtle hum emanates from either end of the rod.

While holding this rod, you cannot cast spells or cantrips. When another creature uses a spell or cantrip, you can use your reaction to activate the rod's power, giving you the ability to disrupt it as if you were using counterspell. This feature can only be used on spells up to level 4, and can only be used once per long rest.

The rod can also be used to create an antimagic field of up to 100ft wide for a minute.

The greater sorceries of their enemies inspired those who worshiped a manmade god to create instruments that could disrupt the Veil itself. The meagre temple within which their rites took place has since been buried.
