Weapon (shotgun), artifact (requires attunement by a being with a Dexterity Score of 16 or higher)

This pair of two barreled shotguns were made by some crazy skilled feller who decided guns wielding just the power of death wasn't enough.
So he popped these bad boys out of his arse.

When you find these twin short barreled shotguns, they seem to just be normal twin short barreled shotguns adorned with a white snake on each shotgun that wraps itself all the way around the two short barrels. It will also be accompanied with a small leather pouch containing 10 Goodberries that don't lose their magical potency after 24 hours.

  • When wielding these two guns, you can magically dual wield them with no problems.
    • You get a +2 to weapon attack rolls; +3 if you are within 10ft of the enemy target
    • You can shoot each shotgun once (2 shots total, one shot from each gun).
    • You can use an action to shoot once with one gun and then a bonus action to shoot again with the other gun.
    • These guns do not benefit from Extra Attack.
    • If your strength score is 13 or below, the recoil pushes you back 5ft every time you take a shot.
    • They deal 4d10 + Dex Mod piercing (20/50), just a little loss in range and a buff in damage compared to a normal shotgun.
    • When aimed at a target you deem as an ally, they hit automatically and heal that target instead of damaging them (4d10+Dex Mod; 10ft range).
    • After you shoot both guns, the white snakes start to wriggle to life as if you startled them awake.
      • You must use an action to feed both the snakes 1 goodberry each (2 goodberries total).
      • This "reloads" the guns so you can shoot once again.
      • The goodberries MUST HAVE THEIR MAGICAL POTENCY to reload.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.

Notes: being with a Dexterity Score of 16 or higher, Healing, Damage, Combat, Range, Two-Handed, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Push
