Aegis of the Arcane Warden

The Aegis of the Arcane Warden is a majestic shield crafted from enchanted mithril, adorned with intricate arcane runes and sigils that shimmer with magical energy. It emits a faint, pulsating glow, reminiscent of a protective aura.

Properties:

• Armour Class: +2 bonus to AC while wielded.
• Spell Absorption: When you are targeted by a spell that requires a saving throw and the shield is wielded, you can use your reaction to absorb the spell's magic. You gain an advantage on the saving throw against the spell, and if you succeed, the spell is absorbed into the shield. The absorbed spell's energy can then be unleashed as a bonus action, allowing you to cast it as if you were the original caster. Once a spell is absorbed, it remains within the shield until it is used or until you finish a long rest.
• Arcane Barrier: As an action, you can activate the shield's Arcane Barrier, creating a shimmering, semi-transparent barrier in a 15-foot radius centred on you. The barrier lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it as a bonus action. While the barrier is active, you and creatures of your choice within it have half cover, granting a +2 bonus to AC and Dexterity saving throws. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
