The great shield Aegis is only mastered by the mighty. The shield face is emblazoned with a golden, radiant sun.
This magical shield grants the wielder +4 Armor Class.
Interceptor. When an allied creature within 5 ft. of the wielder is hit by a melee attack, the wielder can use their reaction to intercept the blow with Aegis and negate the damage. If the attack rolled is a critical hit, the wielder takes the damage as if the attack was a normal hit.
Golden Charisma. When wielded, Aegis raises the wielder's Charisma score to 20. If it is already 20 or higher, this has no effect.
Divine Favor. Twice per long rest, the wielder can expend a charge to add 1d8 to the amount of damage die rolled and maximize the damage output of any spell or attack that deals Radiant Damage.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
Notes: Set: Charisma Score, Bonus: Armor Class
