Description: Abyssal Oblivion is a colossal greatsword forged from the essence of the deepest shadows and imbued with the malevolence of ancient primordial beings. The blade is an ever-shifting mass of darkness, its edges razor-sharp and ethereal. The hilt is wrapped in tattered, darkened leather that seems to meld with the wielder's grasp. On the crossguard, ominous glyphs glow with an unholy radiance. The weapon exudes an aura of foreboding, as if it hungers for souls.

Abilities:

  • Shadow's Embrace: While attuned to Abyssal Oblivion, you gain darkvision with a range of 120 feet, and you can see through magical darkness.

  • Eldritch Corruption: Whenever you hit a creature with Abyssal Oblivion, it deals an additional 4d6 necrotic damage.

  • Abyssal Frenzy: Once per turn when you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with Abyssal Oblivion, you can make one additional melee attack as a bonus action.

  • Eclipse of Despair (Recharge 6): You can use an action to call upon the abyssal darkness within the sword. Darkness spreads from you in a 60-foot radius, extinguishing all non-magical light and heavily obscuring the area. Creatures within this darkness, except you, have disadvantage on saving throws and attacks. In addition, while within the darkness, creatures other than you have their speed reduced to 0 and cannot teleport or travel to other planes. This effect lasts for 1 minute, after which the darkness fades, and you can't use this ability again until the next dawn.

  • Soul Reaper: Whenever you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with Abyssal Oblivion, you gain temporary hit points equal to the damage dealt by the attack.

  • Shadowstep: As a bonus action, you can merge with the shadows and teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space that you can see, provided the area is in dim light or darkness. Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until the next dawn.
