This axe, notched and bloodied from battle, was first wielded by the great Ragnar Lothbrok, who was one of the most powerful and respected viking warriors of all time. Naturally, the Axe of Ragnar gains a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls and creatures. If you are wielding this axe and are forced below, or equal to zero, you can make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a successful save, you instead are left at one hit point, and a failed save knocking you unconscious, where you then have to make Death saving throws. Every time you use this ability after the first, and before taking a short or long rest, the DC increases by 2 on the Constitution saving throw. Whenever you are brought below half health while wielding this weapon, all attacks that you make at that current state have advantage, and the damage increases by 1d6. If you were to be reduced to zero hit points or below because of natural damage(Not caused by a creature), you cannot die outright because of this damage, but can be killed by the saving throws that death imposes. The range that this axe can be thrown also increases to 40/120 feet from it's original 20/60 feet. After thrown, the wielder of the axe can use a bonus action to summon the axe back into their hand. Any creatures that are in a straight line with the axe on it's way to reach your hand is automatically hit with the axe, which deals half damage.
Proficiency with a Handaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Barbarian with a Strength or Constitution score of 20 or higher., Light, Thrown, Vex
