the archaic puzzle box is a small cube, it has various switches, buttons, and moving parts, roll an intelligence save on a d20 and get over a 15 to open the box, the box contains a portal to a plane, every known plane has a linked box, each having their own unique puzzle, most common are links to the astral plane, the portal is two way and designed mostly for storage, funcioning almost exactly like a bag of holding, but a puzzle.
