Alert Ring

This silver ring comes with a powerful enchantment, to keep its wearer awake and alert at all times.

Alertness.  While attuned to and wearing this ring, you gain the full benefits of the Alert feat.

• You gain a +5 bonus to initiative.
• You can't be surprised while you are conscious.
• Other creatures don’t gain advantage on attack rolls against you as a result of being unseen by you.

Curse.  This ring is cursed.  Once attuned to the ring, removing it requires either a Remove Curse spell on the ring or a successful DC12 Wisdom save.

Insomnia.  While wearing the Ring of Alertness, you cannot be put to sleep.  However, you also cannot sleep to gain the benefits of a long rest.  Each missed night of sleep gives you one level of exhaustion - this does not occur if you have a way to gain the benefits of a long rest without sleeping.
