The longbow is masterfully carved from a single piece of flawless maple wood, its surface polished to a gleaming shine. The wood seems to shift and dance with vibrant hues of crimson, amber, and burnt orange, mimicking the fiery colors of leaves in peak autumn splendor. The bow's tips are capped with ornate bronzewood carvings in the shape of snarling draconic heads, their eyes set with smoldering citrines. Smoke seems to wisp perpetually from their flaring nostrils. When an arrow is nocked, the draconic maws open as if inhaling a deep breath, lending the bow's launch an aura of mystical power.
Holding this longbow fills the wielder with the warmth and energy of a blazing bonfire. It thrums with an intense aura, as if moments away from bursting into roaring flames. Any arrows loosed from its burning stride leave behind ephemeral trails of fire and embers in their wake.
You can use a bonus action to speak this magic bow's command word. While the bow is active, it deals an extra 2d6 fire damage to any target it hits, and grants the wielder resistance to Cold damage. This lasts until you use a bonus action to speak the command word again or until you drop or stow the weapon.
Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
